The Royal Armoured Corps launched RAC Connect this week on the Military App platform, forming the new digital hub and community platform for the Corps. As part of this we saw SCOTS DG Connect, QRH Connect, Royal Lancers Connect and SNIY Connect all go live, joining the Household Cavalry, Royal Tank Regiment and Royal Yeomanry on the platform.
It's exciting to see the community growth and this opportunity to better connect members across serving, veterans and families. There is a lot of overlap between the regiments, from the new recruit on their Initial Trade Training to the veteran that is staying in touch with their regiment and other RAC units they have served with.
"The Military App, colloquially known as ‘RAC Connect’ has proven to be the standout choice for a Royal Armoured Corps community platform. Although we are only just starting out on this journey it is clear that its ease of use, coupled with the depth of functionality available, will make it an indispensable tool for improving efficiency across the Corps. Beyond the technology itself, what truly sets Allegr, the Company behind the App, apart is the human service they provide. The team consistently goes the extra mile, from a smooth, supportive onboarding process to always being on hand to assist and advise whenever needed.
We are genuinely excited about how this platform can transform the way we will connect across the RAC, bringing our community closer together and enabling us to operate with greater cohesion and effectiveness.
Lt Col (Retd) Richard Watson - RAC Corps Secretary
"It's been a great start to the RAC Connect launch and we are thoroughly enjoying working with each regimental team as well as the central HQ RAC leadership who are driving the project. Thanks to all the Regimental Charities who have backed this stragety to better connect and support their wider community. We started the Military App with the Household Cavalry, my former regiment, back in 2022 and it is great to see this expand across the Corps."
