The system puts your Unit/Association/Regimental Charity first while still allowing support for other verified beneficiaries. Donations are effortless - one-off or regular via Stripe - with Gift Aid and low fees built in.
Campaigns can be promoted across your in-app community and shared externally with custom links, while creators post updates and track progress (including offline donations).
Unit/RHQ keeps full oversight of content and beneficiaries, with clear payment reporting and Gift Aid declarations - so your charity raise more, with less admin and maximum reach.
Instructions
Step 1 - Charity Details
On the left-hand side of the navigation within the web app, you will find your fundraising menu item. This is titled Financial Admin - see image below.
If you click on this, you will then be shown the information required for the charity page that will display to your members when they choose to create a fundraising campaign.
We suggest you complete some basic details on this page before completing the Stripe setup, then complete the remainder of the details.
Step 2 - Stripe Set Up
Click on the small setup button that is in red next to the "Stripe Account ID".
Alternatively, click on the second tab called "Account Management" and choose set up "Setup Payment Account".
Either of these routes will take you to a custom landing page for your charity where you need to follow all the steps to complete the charity setup within the Stripe interface.
Before starting this process, please make sure you have the names of trustees and a supporting document for your charity - you can start this registration process and return to it later.
Note: If you already have a Stripe account, when you click on this setup and login, you can link your existing Stripe account to the fundraising platform.
Step 3 - Complete
The Stripe account will be verified, once complete you will be notified via email.
At this stage please inform the Military App team so that we can activate the Fundraising feature on your primary group in the App.
We will confirm that all text, images and references for the Charity are correct and you are ready to publicise your fundraising capability, if you need support in communicating to your community we will assist with any emails/support articles.
